TapToSee

URL Routing & Redirection Service

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 March 2026  ·  Last updated: 12 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TapToSee ("TapToSee", "we", "us") handles information in connection with its URL routing and redirection service (the "Service"). TapToSee is an infrastructure service and does not operate a consumer-facing application or user accounts.

1. Information we process

To route a request, our servers process the requested path and standard connection metadata provided by your browser or network, such as the approximate time of the request, general request characteristics (for example, browser family and operating system family), and a truncated or hashed network address used solely for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We do not request or require any personal information, and we do not ask you to create an account.

2. How we use information

Processed information is used only to (a) resolve and deliver redirects reliably, (b) maintain the security and integrity of the Service, (c) detect and prevent abuse, automated scanning and fraud, and (d) produce aggregate, non-identifying operational statistics. We do not use this information to build advertising or behavioural profiles.

3. Cookies and tracking

The Service does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and does not embed third-party advertising or analytics trackers. A strictly necessary cookie may be used only where required for basic operation or security; none is used to identify you across sites.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade information. We may share limited information with service providers who host or maintain our infrastructure under confidentiality obligations, or where required to comply with a valid legal request, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property or safety of TapToSee, our users or the public.

5. Retention

Operational records are retained only as long as necessary for the purposes above and are then aggregated or deleted on a rolling basis. Aggregate statistics that do not identify any individual may be retained for longer.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including rights to access, correct or delete personal information and to object to certain processing. Because TapToSee generally does not hold information that identifies you, we may be unable to associate a request with an individual; where we can, we will respond to verified requests as required by law.

7. Security

Requests are served over TLS and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

The Service may be operated from, and information processed in, countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly process information relating to children.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

11. Contact

Questions about this Policy may be directed to [email protected].
